August H. (Age 8) asks:
I’m worried about a test that’s coming up. How should I comfort myself?
According to The-Book-That-Is-Not-To-Be-Used-For-Good, the best cure for nerves is to place a small rodent under your hat. Then, during the test you will be too worried about what the rodent is doing to worry about getting an answer wrong on the test. Perhaps you’ve noticed more and more males wearing short-brimmed fedoras. I assume this is why.
This answer is inappropriate and inconsistent with the recommendations of most Parent -Teacher Associations. In most, if not all cases, the advice given here should be read out loud in the company of a responsible adult and not followed (except by a guffaw or a chuckle).
